The Toronto Hospital for Sick Children and Hospital for Sick Children Foundation
The Hospital for Sick Children-- affectionately called Sick Kids -- is one of the largest paediatric academic health science centres in the world, with an international reputation for excellence in health care, research, and teaching. Those are the three cornerstones of Sick Kids. As a local hospital, Sick Kids meets the basic health needs of children who live in the City of Toronto. But more than half the patients come from outside the city: they come from other parts of Ontario and Canada, and from many countries around the world.
Established in 1972, the SickKids Foundation (formerly The Hospital for Sick Children Foundation) raises funds on behalf of The Hospital for Sick Children
